Dana Robinson is a name being spoken in some very impressive circles. And rightfully so. Sought after by labels and publishers alike, Dana has always insisted on making her music on her own terms. Just listen to any of her projects and you'll understand why; she is an original. "Dana's songs have some real gems in them", says Destiny Now president Bret Walton. "As a writer myself, I can truly appreciate the genius of her songwriting."
Apparently he's not alone in that way of thinking. One of Dana's projects found its way into the hands of Dave Meyer. Dave had his daughter Sandra call and order more CD'S. After that, Dave and Joyce wrote Dana a personal letter thanking her for her music, letting her know it was a blessing to them both. They also told her that they believed that "God was going to use her in a strong way. " Joyce Meyer Ministries was one of the first ministries to bless Dana financially. |
More recently, Dana has gotten attention from some very prominent people. In January of 2007, she recorded her new project on the Destiny Now label. While in the studio, she was interviewed by Laverne Tripp for national broadcast. Bo Hinson of The Hinsons even stopped by to see the new artist everyone was talking about. You might say Dana Robinson has made quite a stir around Nashville; not an easy thing to do. And yet with all the attention, she's so down to earth.
Dana is based out of Christian Fellowship Church in Queen City, Texas where she and her husband Clark serve faithfully as Elders and in worship. She says, "I've always thought of my music as a ministry. I have never really seen myself doing the big concert scene. " Even at that, her gift has made room for her in some very impressive circles. She says, "Bret Walton approached me about signing with Destiny Now Records and I knew it was the right thing to do at just the right time." |
